I forgot to mention in my last entry how much I have gained so far in this pregnancy.
10 whole pounds! Yeah. I love not gaining much at all. Of course I have the unfortunate issue of always having extra weight for my everyday, ordinary life. So thankfully it doesn't pile on during pregnancy.

My arm is doing better today, where I got the shot. Yesterday it was getting a little better. I cleaned both bathrooms and that didn't hurt it to much more.

My poor son continues with the germs that insist on being his pal. Sneezing all the time...like every 3 minutes. That is accompanied by lots of snot. That is accompanied by us wiping his poor little red nose. We are trying to do it gentle but it's still sore. I don't think he can breath through his nose. I hear him try and it sounds closed up. Then I see him breath through his mouth. Plus the aggravating cough. He couldn't sleep today. He's so tired and I tried to lay him down twice but he was so fussy he couldn't fall asleep. He did finally after 3pm, but he didn't sleep long. And, of all things he hardly ate today. That is so not like him. He did however drink his milk and water like a champ. He's to bed now but I keep hearing him cough.
It's just not right. My poor like boy.

Yesterday afternoon while my son fought taking a nap, he sneezed and it had a croup sound in the sneeze. When he finally went to sleep and woke up he had the croup sound in his voice.
This morning he had a fever, 100.9. I checked it through the day, 101.0 & 100.2. He was a little fussy and snuggley. He took a 40 minute late morning nap. I had a 3:45pm doctor appointment. He fell asleep on the drive home. Today he's been coughing, sneezing and rubbing his nose. I can hear congestion in his chest but it sounds loose. But as usual he has been playing, eating and drinking just fine. He did have a hard time going to bed tonight which is not usual.
The other thing I catch him doing is chewing on his finger all the way at the back of his mouth. I'm thinking 2 year molars.

My dr. appointment today was good. I still have not started to progress in any way. That doesn't bother the dr. When she asked if I'm feeling fetal movement I said yes but not as much as normal. I told her of course since I got the flu shot yesterday I was worried about the baby. She had me put on the non-stress test. I laid there listening to and watching my baby's heart beat. The heartbeat went as high as 160's and as low as 120's. The baby got rather active while on the monitor. No contractions (the nurse told me). But I wouldn't know if I was having them anyway.

On the way I saw an alligator on the side of the road in a large ditch filled with water. He was about 4 feet long. Matt couldn't believe that I spotted him. I told him, I watch all the time cuz I want to see them. I like alligators. That's one of the best parts of going on a golf course...alligators.

Thanksgiving will have a whole new (refreshed) meaning this year. My parents, Matt's parents, possibly my brother and a brand new baby. Wow.

I did something today that I have never done before.
I went to my regular doctor and got the seasonal flu shot.

At my last OB doctor appointment they asked if I wanted the H1N1 shot. No Thank You! That's not for me nor my little baby. It's too new, I thought and I don't want me or my baby being a guinea pig.

I am not a fan of MOST vaccinations. There are some that I am OK with and feel they are necessary to keep diseases under control. I'm not OK with "them" coming up with a new vaccination every time we turn a corner. As in filling our children with several shots at each well baby/child visit. They are expected to receive way more than we had as children.

Now, many adults are undervaccinated. That's b-cuz (in my opinion) it was not as strictly enforced back in the day as it is now. There are some dangerous things out there nowadays that adults are dying from.

OK, I'm done...Now back to the regular flu shot. I have never wanted this shot. I only ever heard of people getting sick with the flu after getting the shot. Of course all the medical personnel would say...you don't get the flu from the shot. I wasn't convinced. Well, this year the flu has been moving in to close for my comfort. Add to that...the swine flu. Add to that my poor 20.5 months old son and myself seem to easily attract germs while out at church or the store. Add to that there will be a new baby in this house very soon. Call it what you want but this year I had a "feeling" (and no it wasn't fear) that it was the right time to have myself and Bryson vaccinated against the seasonal flu. We will not be getting the H1N1 shot. I spoke with my OBGYN and Bryson's pediatrician about getting the flu shot. I trust and really like both doctors. Bryson's doctor highly recommended the seasonal shot 9specially with a new baby coming) but he wouldn't even recommend the H1N1 due to limited data on it. He said if parents wanted their children to have it he would not tell them no but he wasn't completely on board with getting it. Sadly not to many places will give the flu shot to children under 2 yrs old and his doctor's office is out right now. So we wait and pray they come quick.

Another cool thing for me...Matt got the shot without us talking about it. He also has never had it before but got it for the same reason as me.

We live in Florida. Who comes to FL? Everybody from everywhere. What comes to FL? Everything you can imagine and then some.

It's kinda late, I should go to bed. Oh wait, I was just in bed. But now I'm out here on this computer. What happened?

I'm often asked if I go to bed earlier than normal these days. My answer is no, not really. I like my time alone with my computer after Bryson & Matt go to bed.
As of the last couple weeks my tiredness seems to be building up. I've tried to take naps but that doesn't seem to be working out for me. I just keep pushing through. Last night I decided to go to bed just after getting Bryson to bed. Even exhausted I couldn't fall right to sleep. That's not normal for me, I usually fall asleep immediately. So tonight I stayed up a little later. I went to bed about 11pm. I laid there. I was feeling all kinds of pressure and some pain from the baby. The baby will not lay still. I turned over. After an hour of that fun, I decided I might just as well get up, write on here and go to bed later and hopefully fall asleep easier.

That has been my issue. This baby likes to move  a l l  n i g h t  l o n g. I wake up all night long to action in my belly area. Add to that, that I can't get comfortable on my left side, right side or my back. I can't even breath if I lay on my back. I know a pregnant woman is not suppose to sleep/lay on her back but it was never a problem with the first pregnancy. I have pillows on both sides of me to help prop whatever needs to be propped. Not helping. This pregnancy is also different in that I have been hot for most of it. For the last one I only got hot in the last month and it wasn't as bad as this time around. I have the ceiling fan going all night and at naps (if I can get one) and I'm not even a ceiling fan kinda person.

I am exhausted.
I don't do well when tired.
I can't seem to catch naps. Bryson is not real good about naps. I'm lucky if he takes a 1.5 hour nap a day.
Then there's "things" that have to be done and often those "things" are easier to do while he is sleeping.

Yesterday I was so tired after breakfast that I laid on the couch while he played. Then when I put him down for a nap I went for a nap. I was still tired in the evening.
And to think, there's about to be another baby added. Boy, I hope this baby likes to sleep.
When I was pregnant for Bryson I was working 40 hours a week but I came home everyday and took a 3 hour nap. Those were the days.

Abi is here today. This will be my last day to babysit her. I could have kept her till the week I deliver but I thought I better make sure I have time to arrange the house. Plus wash and organize the baby's clothes.
